The Production Company won a competitive tender to produce a documentary and CD ROM Facilitator resource pack on behalf of The Office of The Deputy Prime Minister. The aim of this CD ROM resource was to present the effects of gang culture to government departments and youth organisations. Numerous ex-convicts and young gang members were interviewed and filmed by The Production Company in Los Angeles, Boston, Manchester (UK), Leeds, London and Birmingham. During this production, The Production Company were exposed to the realities of gang culture with certain interviews conducted on the streets of notoriously volatile areas. During one interview in Compton, South Central LA, The Production Company were caught up in a huge gang related shooting incident. Filming also included attending a ‘pistol whipping’ in Boston. The CD ROM is an excellent example of an original and imaginative CD ROM resource The Production Company produces on behalf of clients inside and outside of the social sector.
